Repreva ("On the influence of pregnancy on the exchange of substances in animals", dissertation, St. Petersburg., 1888) found that a pregnant organism with normal nutrition, without reducing the income, reduces at the same time its vital expenses and utilizes accumulating in this way in his body, folding material in the goals of creation fetus.
