НОВАЯ НАДПИСЬ ИЗ СМИНФЕЙОНА: ОДИННАДЦАТАЯ ПОЧЕСТЬ ГАЮ ДЕЦИМИЮ КЛАССИКУ, ПРОРОКУ АПОЛЛОНА СМИНФЕЙСКОГО

Аннотация

В этой статье представлена почетная надпись на греческом языке, посвященная Гаю Децимию Классику, пророку Аполлона Сминфейского, от жителей Колонии Августы Троаденской. Эпиграмма, занимающая две строки и вырезанная на лицевой стороне постамента массивной статуи, указывает, что это одиннадцатая почесть, оказанная Гаю Децимию Классику. Надпись на правой стороне постамента содержит более подробную информацию об этой почести. Надпись сообщает, что Гай Децимий Классик служил пророком Аполлона Сминфейского, а также был эвергетом, который преуспел во многих областях на благо своего отечества, Александрии Троадской / Колонии Августы Троаденской. Эта статуя является частью процесса присуждения почестей, который проводился в святилище, как один из двух этапов присуждения одиннадцатой почести. Другой этап проходил в Александрии Троадской и состоял из ряда почестей, оказываемых каждой филой/трибой. Эта надпись примечательна тем, что она свидетельствует о замене системы vici, которая, как известно из надписей, существовала в колонии, системой триб примерно в первые четыре десятилетия II в. н.э., вероятно, в правление Адриана.
