Patriotism as a value (based on the material of the educational and methodological complex "Vostok" for Chinese students studying Russian as a foreign language)

The article deals with the development of a sense of civic patriotism as a component of the educational process in the subject area of "Russian as a Foreign Language". This issue is considered from the perspective of axiological linguomethodology: love for the homeland, native language and native culture are defined as indisputable values, the idea of which must be formed and developed when teaching any foreign language in the context of the idea of a close relationship and equal importance of different linguacultures in the global multicultural space. Studying a foreign language in the context of their native linguaculture allows students to see the uniqueness and peculiarity of their native language and native culture, which helps to strengthen the feeling of attachment to their native country. In the list of tools that implement the tasks of civic education in classes on Russian as a foreign language, educational publications are highlighted. The material for consideration in this article are educational materials included in the educational and methodological complex "Vostok", developed specifically for Chinese students. The article analyzes the substantive features of didactic texts, as well as related exercises and tasks, and demonstrates their methodological resource for implementing educational and training tasks in their entirety. The exercises often include texts related to the history of China, its culture, traditions and holidays, containing information about famous people. This helps foreign students expand their knowledge of their country, its values and achievements, which helps to strengthen the sense of patriotism. At the same time, a tolerant and respectful attitude towards foreign linguacultures and their representatives, and the foreign language they are learning is formed. The use of these educational materials allows integrating language learning with the education of citizenship and patriotism, forming not only language skills, but also an understanding of the cultural and social context of the functioning of language in the life of society. In the process of studying Russian as a foreign language, students understand and perceive such values as friendship, respect, love for the fatherland, which helps to form patriotic sentiments.
