In 2001, the heads of the non-governmental educational institution "International Academy of Appraisal and Consulting" decided to register and publish a monthly scientific and practical economic and legal journal "Property Relations in the Russian Federation". An Editorial Board of the journal was formed, headed by the director of the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Ruslan Semenovich Grinberg, which included doctors of science in economics and law. At the beginning of its existence, the journal published mainly economic articles, but after Valentin Valentinovich Ershov, Rector of the Russian State University of Justice, joined the Editorial Board as Deputy Chairman, the number of legal articles increased significantly. Currently, the Editorial Board of the journal is headed by Doctor of Economics, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Georgy Borisovich Kleiner, and his deputy for the legal direction is Doctor of Law, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation Andrey Vladimirovich Gabov. In 2003, the publication was included in the VAK List (currently in category K1). By decision of the Academic Council of Lomonosov Moscow State University, the journal was recommended for publishing articles by dissertators and applicants in legal sciences. Our publication received a similar recommendation from the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.
