ANALYSIS OF SEMANTIC AND FUNCTIONAL FEATURES OF TRANSLATION OF UNITS OF THE LEXICAL AND PHRASEOLOGICAL FIELD “FOOTBALL” IN THE SPANISH LANGUAGE

In this paper, we consider the existing methods and tools for analyzing the semantic and functional features of audiovisual translation and identify the most suitable ones for studying the lexical and phraseological field “Football” in the Spanish language. The linguistic and extralinguistic aspects of the translation of actual phraseological combinations are studied on the example of a documentary film about football. It is shown that the most important requirements for high-quality audiovisual translation of football topics are the availability of background knowledge, the preservation of the emotional component and the pace of commentators’ speech, taking into account significant differences in the pronunciation of words and phrases in the normative Spanish language. The aim of the work is to identify, analyze and study the features of the ways of translating Spanish-language football documentaries.
