Аннотация
Cultures change inmany ways but some basic values within the culture tendto remain over longer periods. Compared with some other potential markers ofethnicity, which may applyto onlya certain part ofan ethnic group, some traditional values are adheredto bymost orperhaps even all membersof the ethnic group. Over time, many core valuesof aculture remain relatively strong even though the manifestationsof those values might gradually change. As such, certain cultural values can beregarded asstronger markersof ethnicor cultural identity than some other features ofthe culture which are more transient.
