Abstract

The author set himself the task of examining all objections to symphysiotomy and determining what place in obstetrics should be allocated to this operation.
The mobility of the pelvic joints has been proven by many studies, and now it can hardly be denied. However, in view of the large difference in judgments about the frequencies and the degree of this mobility, the author tried to make up his own opinion on this matter.
