Abstract

Among 6314 gynecological patients of the author, there were 1130 with inflammatory diseases of the appendages, which is 17.8%. Recognition of these diseases is not easy. The author, by the way, is guided, according to Martin, by thickening of the istmus of the pipe, as a sign of inflammation of the pipe. Recognition of the properties of the contents of the pipe before the operation is almost impossible; anamnestic indications and the nature of the complaints in such cases do not matter.
