Abstract

Disagreeing with the opinion of clinicians who are inclined to accept the symphysiotomy too widely, and other obstetricians who extremely narrow the boundaries of this operation, the authors come to the conclusion that symphysiotomy should now be performed not only in clinics and maternity hospitals, but also in practice.
