J. Hofbaccer. — Zur Physiologie des Puerperiums .— (Monatschr. Fiir Geburtschiil. U. Gunaek. 1897. Erganzungsheft) .— The Physiology of Puerperal Period.
The author describes the results of his research on the composition of the blood of women in the period of the end of pregnancy, in the postnatal and lactation periods. In the cases given by the author, the number of blood leukocytes in the above-mentioned periods is determined, and it is clearly indicated on the curves compiled that the number of leukocytes reaches its maximum immediately after the release of the fetus, then their number gradually decreases.
