Abstract
BACKGROUND. To develop and implement information modeling technologies to streamline operational processes, improve the quality of large-scale data processing, and facilitate operational management decisions to ensure safe operation of underground railway facilities and passenger transportation.
AIM: This study aimed to improve the in-service inspection system through deployment of information modeling technologies and the creation of digital twins.
METHODS: The paper describes the practice of developing a pilot information model for a section of interstation tunnels, including data collection, 3D modeling, unification, and entering information on defects and damages to a special database.
RESULTS: The study is focused on algorithmizing of processes and the development of procedures for interaction between participants in the operations to automate routine operations, to reduce the human factor, and to provide prompt access to up-to-date information. The paper focuses on saving the costs of data collection and analysis, drawing inspection and repair plans, and the ability to predict changes in the health of facilities. The rollout of the experience of information modeling to other underground railway facilities in the future is considered.
CONCLUSION: Deployment of information modeling technology tools helps process large volumes of data and perform a comprehensive assessment of the health and regulatory compliance of underground railway infrastructure facilities, improving transportation safety and reducing operational risks.
