Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine the attitude of students at a pedagogical university towards physical education classes.
Research methods and organization. A survey was conducted using "Yandex Forms," containing various questions aimed at determining the attitudes of students from the pedagogical university specializing in "Preschool Education and Primary Education" and "Mathematics and Physics" towards physical education classes. The total number of respondents was 140 people.
Research results. According to 30% of students, sports and active games are the most interesting forms of physical activity, while 25% of respondents find activities like Pilates or yoga interesting, and 16% consider dance styles such as Zumba and contemporary choreography to be appealing.
Conclusions. It has been noted that maintaining health is the primary reason for engaging in physical culture for 30% of students, 60% of students reported that they participate regularly, and the independent choice of physical culture program materials serves as a motivating factor for engaging in physical culture. It has been established that students find physical culture classes at the university interesting, and the diversity of forms and teaching methods will have a positive impact on their motivation.
