Abstract
The article addresses issues related to the regulatory and legal support of physical culture and sports for youth.
The purpose of the study is the legislation in the field of physical culture and sports education. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the work lie in obtaining data on the legal support for physical culture and sports activities in Russia under current conditions.
Research methods and organization: theoretical analysis and generalization of literary sources, content analysis of legal literature. More than 100 regulatory legal documents related to physical education and sports education have been analyzed.
Research results. Data have been obtained that characterize the provision of a regulatory legal framework for physical culture and sports education in kindergartens, schools, and universities. In connection with the transition to a market economy, the mechanisms for registering non-governmental organizations have been analyzed: commercial fitness clubs, gyms, and paid physical culture and sports classes. Conclusions. The research allows us to state that physical education and sports education is sufficiently provided with regulatory legal documents in education.
