RESEARCH ON THE ISSUE OF THE INTERCONNECTION BETWEEN INJURIES IN FOOTBALL PLAYERS AND THE NUMBER OF MATCHES PLAYED WITHIN A SINGLE COMPETITIVE SEASON

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the current state of the issue of injuries in football and to analyze the extent of the impact of the increase in the number of matches in the season on the rise of player injuries.
Research methods: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature.
Research results and conclusions. During the examination of the issue, the following factors and risks affecting the increase in player injuries were identified: an increase in the number of matches in the season, a reduction in recovery time between games, risks of increased injuries among young players, as well as a negative impact on the psychological state of footballers.
