Abstract
The purpose of the study is to identify the features of organizing the physical education process for future law enforcement officers (using the example of universities in Russia and Belarus).
Research methods and organization. The methods of analysis and synthesis of normative-legal, scientific, and methodological literature were used in the work, along with the study and generalization of scientific and pedagogical experience regarding the issue of investigation. The research was conducted at the Northwest Branch of the Federal State Budget Educational Institution "Russian State University of Justice," Department of Humanities and Socio-Economic Disciplines (Saint Petersburg, Russia), and the Educational Institution "Francisk Skorina Gomel State University," Department of Physical Education and Sports (Gomel, Belarus).
Research results and conclusions. The results of the research indicate that physical education is currently an essential condition for preparing future employees in the legal field, as it aims to strengthen health and develop the physical and personal qualities necessary for students in their future professional activities. Among the features of organizing classes in physical culture and sports, one can highlight: the primary selection of applicants for training in professions related to the activities of legal divisions (Belarus), ensuring the educational process in physical culture and sports throughout the entire period of study at the university (Russia), and organizing physical culture and sports classes with consideration of elective and individual approaches (Russia, Belarus).
